A journal’s document class is first-class publishing infrastructure. GreyMind develops custom LaTeX classes (.cls) and the surrounding production system — typography, article architecture, metadata, references and controlled compilation — that make a journal’s output consistent and reproducible.

WHAT THIS SERVICE IS

A document class is a design system, not a template.

This is a current, substantial GreyMind capability. It is not a future ambition and it is not a document-formatting shortcut.

Developing a journal’s LaTeX class means designing the full article system: the typography, page geometry, title and author hierarchy, publication metadata, article body structure, figures and tables, references, declarations and production conventions. Each element is defined so that every article renders consistently.

The result is an institutional asset — a class file, an article template, a sample article, bibliography configuration and production documentation — that the journal can use and extend over time.

About ISSN, eISSN and DOI

Identifiers such as ISSN, eISSN and DOI are publication metadata. Their assignment can be incorporated into the production system when available, but the absence of a final identifier during journal establishment does not prevent development of the underlying LaTeX architecture, typography, article model or document class.

DELIVERY AND OWNERSHIP

GreyMind-managed or institutional delivery.

How a LaTeX system is delivered and licensed is defined by contract for each engagement.

A journal LaTeX system may be delivered under a GreyMind-managed arrangement or handed over to the institution. The contract determines licensing and source delivery.

GreyMind does not claim that every customer class file belongs to GreyMind, and does not assume automatic transfer of ownership. These terms are agreed explicitly.
