- A coordinated screening service — author, ACSS Coordinator and ACSS Screeners — with an auditable record of each step.
- Portable: authors keep full control of their manuscript and may take it to any publisher at any time.
- Voluntary: using ACSS never obliges an author to submit to — or publish with — GreyMind Press.
- Useful beyond GreyMind: researchers, external journals, institutions and editors may use ACSS tools for work intended for other publishers.

The boundary is deliberate and important. ACSS is a screening layer only.

Peer review — screening is distinct from a journal’s formal review process.

Editorial acceptance — ACSS Complete does not mean a journal will accept the manuscript.

ACSS and GreyMind Press Journals are parallel systems. ACSS provides scholarly services — diagnostics, integrity and computational tools — that operate independently of any single journal.
Independent of any journal
ACSS tools may be used by researchers, external journals, institutions and editors — including for manuscripts destined for other publishers. It never locks an author into GreyMind.
Feeds GreyMind journals when chosen
A manuscript that completes ACSS technical screening and final authorship confirmation becomes eligible to proceed into the normal GreyMind journal screening workflow, which remains authoritative.
Your rights and portability
ACSS is designed so that it never locks you in. You remain in control of your manuscript at every step.
- Authors retain full rights and ownership of their manuscript throughout and after ACSS.
- Authors may withdraw a manuscript from ACSS at any time.
- Authors may take a manuscript to another publisher or venue at any stage.
- ACSS reports and screening activity remain private and are not published.
- GreyMind Press does not lock authors into its journals through ACSS.
